One day during her summer vacation, Rainbow Dash decides to head to the beach to do a little surfing by herself. After setting up a spot to rest at, the blue-skinned athlete discards her sandals and starts making her way to rent a surfboard from a nearby shop. As she walks, she takes in the beach’s relaxing atmosphere as she feels the warm sand on her bare feet. However, this is abruptly interrupted when she bumps into Fluttershy’s obnoxious brother, Zephyr Breeze, who immediately starts flirting with her as usual. Having had to endure this for most of the school year and not wanting to deal with it while on vacation, Rainbow immediately tells Zephyr to get lost and starts to head back on her way. However, upon noticing that Zephyr has started to swing a gold pocket watch in front of her eyes, she asks him what he is doing. Instead of just answering her, Zephyr (a smirk now on his face) only says that he is trying something he learned in psychology class at school in order to ‘change her mind about him’. Not sure what he means by that (and not wanting to know), Rainbow tries to look away from the watch, but is surprised to find that her gaze is completely locked on it as Zephyr tells her to just relax and focus on his voice. As the boy keeps talking, the tomboy finds herself succumbing more and more to the apparent hypnosis. Her eyes become droopy, her arms become limp and hang at her sides as her whole body relaxes, her legs & feet become frozen in place (rendering her unable to move), and her mind becomes so blank and cloudy that she becomes unable to think for herself. Seeing that his victim is now open to suggestion, Zephyr tells Rainbow to repeat the phrase ‘I love you, Zephyr Breeze’, adding that the more she says it, the more she actually believes it. Soon, the hypnotized athlete is repeating her mantra over and over again in a drowsy (yet clear) voice. What’s more (just as she was told to), the more she says the phrase, the more she actually believes she loves the boy she usually despises….
 
After about 10 minutes of listening to his hypnotized crush reprogram herself, Zephyr stows the watch in the pocket of his swim trunks and snaps his fingers to wake Rainbow from her trance. This does indeed return the rainbow-haired athlete to her normal self, but with one noticeable exception. Instead of being annoyed by the boy in front of her, Rainbow (the hypnosis having successfully worked on her) finds herself feeling very attracted to Zephyr, adopting more coy body language around him and even calling him ‘babe’ at certain points. After the two flirt with each other for a little while, Rainbow claims that she doesn’t feel like surfing anymore and invites Zephyr to join her under the old boardwalk so that they can ‘have some real fun’ together. Knowing what she means by this, Zephyr (pleased that his plan worked out) accepts before swooping Dash up into his arms in a bridal carry (with her permission, of course) and carrying off to the boardwalk for their ‘alone time’. All the while, Zephyr is silently thanking the heavens that his plan went off without a hitch…..
