Second pic ever commissioned, and the premise of my whole love of Big Applejack

What can I really say about that mare? She’s strong, honest, loyal, dependable, level-headed, responsible, hard working, courageous, had more than her fair share of common sense…ahh, just listing them makes me wanna sigh dreamily. Really, the reason she rarely gets screen time in the early seasons to deal with Friendship problems pretty much lay around the fact she didn’t need them. Sure she still had problems, like her stubborn streak of refusing help in Applebucking Season, but they were far and few. Even now as we approach season 6 she still has less leading roles than everypony else and acts more as support and the voice of reason. Or sass, cuz god can she quirk an eyebrow with the best of em. X3

*Ahem* So…this pic. Before Applejack I had a major weakness for big, strong cowgirls (both literal and figurative), with iconic gals like chalodillo’s Mora taking the main stage. So when I started watching My Little Pony, she caught my eye right away. I easily imagine her as a statuesque, strong mare with a figure my friend sheela dubbed ‘the lumberjack build’. Buff and thick, but padded all over. Under those wide, feminine curves lies a body packed with muscles that cab buck trees with her hooves alone to harvest apples by. This picture combines my three strongest loves into one: Growth, Cowgirls, and Strong Girls.

Applejack seems to have found herself something nice to stretch herself out across the hay with, all of the hay. Little Butter Nut looks to have already enjoyed a little bit of a romp in the hay already, and now lays contently looking up at the mare of his (day)dreams. Wonder what she might be thinking herself?
