On that fateful day, Twilight Sparkle did not succeed in passing the important test she’d ever been given.
 
And so it was that King Sombra smothered the Crystal Empire with the shadow of his rule, enslaving its citizens once more.
 
Responsible for its downfall and shunned by her former mentor, Twilight found herself trapped in a living hell from which there was no escape, the flames of her failure eager to burn and torment her for the rest of her existence.
 

 
I rewatched the season 3 opener to find something interesting to vector. Needless to say, this is exactly what I was hunting for. Simply put, this stained glass piece was a healthy challenge. I feel more confident with gradients now, which is also a plus.
 
It’d be an honor to have this make it into the three day top-scoring section or even become the featured image. I think it looks great, but that’s an artist’s bias for you. You all can be the judge as to whether it deserves a spot in either category.
 
Not sure what project I’ll be focusing on next. I have a few ideas, but I’m going to keep them a secret for now. Aren’t I just evil?
