Equestria Daily’s Artist Training Grounds continues, as does my apparent streak of making references to my favorite video games. Today’s prompt is Draw a pony in mortal peril / Draw a pony steeling themselves. In Paper Mario, when you have 1 HP remaining, you are considered “in Peril”. As soon as I make that connection, I really wanted to do this.
 
This is probably my most involved piece so far, and it was fun recreating the PM battle scene, as well as trying out a new style for our favorite ponies. Will Pinkie Pie be able to get out of this one alive? Knowing her, she’s probably still got some tricks up her metaphorical sleeves yet!
 
What will I be referencing in tomorrow’s prompt? Only time will tell. Looking forward to the next prompt!
