Meet Clutch, I actually had a dream where I was this dude, first time something like that has ever happened. So basically my mind said “This is you as a pony.” So Clutch is going to represent me from now on.
 
Like me he can operate pretty much anything on wheels, that’s sort of my thing, and his special talent. Though unlike me he’s a race car driver that drives in a classic GT series. In my head canon technology is about on par with modern earth, but as you get closer to Canterlot magic gets more dominant over it, so you see less of things like cars.
 
He’s also a gear head and does most of his own repairs and tuning. His car and bike are his babies, and he has an obsession with them that borderlines on OCD.
 
I modified his design to have a bit of the “pretty boy” looks, and he knows he’s got swag. I was inspired a bit by the way race car drivers where generally portrayed in classic racing movies like Grand Prix from 1966 or other movies of that era.
 
Personality wise he’s almost exactly like me, generally cheery and care free, but highly logical at times. He’s easily annoyed by illogical thinking or actions, and when things don’t go right he gets frustrated and angry quickly, but he mostly expresses it vocally.
