This silly thing was actually meant to be very simple for New Year’s Eve, but again I got carried away and got a bigger drawing that wans’t even supposed to be that way xD Oh well, guess here we have yet another Happy New Year Drawing and my first drawing of Spitfire and Rainbow Dash for this 2020 :D
 
Of course on New Year you have a drink or two…or twenty xD It seems like Rainbow and Spitfire got a little carried away with their alcoholic drinks and wanna have some strange fun in the evening. This is just a fun idea of them riding on a rocket that was shot by Celestia. Who can sense the reference I wanted to put in? Princess Celestia being deep just fits perfectly in this scene to have a loose start in 2020 haha.
 

 
Perhaps you can see a few smaller proportions compared to usually since like I said I intended this to be small and simple, more like a Comic Sins image, but ended up colouring in very carefully. Oh well, it’s not too much of a shame I think?
 

 
I quite enjoy using my cellshading method for my drawings while also playing around with soft effects here and there plus some vibrant colours. That’s something I wanna keep. I also wanna improve my backgrounds in the future, perhaps make them look a little painty to bring out the contrast between scenery and characters a bit more.
