This is the CG prototype of a fully articulated Action Figure of Princess Luna from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic which I designed.
 
She is made up of 67 individual parts, has 25 points of articulation and stands 25 cm tall from hoof to horn.
 
For a few years i have been disappointed with the quality of the Hasbro MLP toy line. I understand that I am not the intended audience for these toys and I should probably be looking at the Funko models for more screen accurate figures. But as nice as they are i don’t really like the heads on those figures and i also wanted a pose able figure. so since no one is doing figures like this i took it upon myself to make an action figure of best princess.
 
The figure is going to be 3d printed and i’ll have the Master figure within a few days. After that I intend to cast it in resin to make it a more sturdy figure since the Nylon based plastic I am printing it in can be fragile at times. when i have the prototype and everything works as I intended i will be modeling 2 additional heads, one angry and one happy and a pair of folded wings which can be swapped out with the extended ones.
 
I intend to do a short run of her and I’ll be posting information regarding getting one of the figures when I have the prototype in hand in a few days. So stay tuned if you’re interested.
