Having recently rediscovered the 1986 movie Deadly Friend, I couldn’t help but imagine an Equestria Girls re-telling of it!
 
Human Twilight = Paul  
Spike = BB the Robot  
Fluttershy = Samantha
 
For those who haven’t seen the movie or read the original novel, here’s the summary:  
Paul moves to a new town with his mother and his robot BB.  
Paul meets Samantha, the girl next door who lives with her abusive father.  
BB is destroyed by a paranoid neighbor.  
Samantha is accidentally killed by her father during a routine beating.  
Paul transplants BB’s AI into Samantha’s brain to resurrect her.  
Murder and mayhem ensue.
 
This piece is based on the moment in the movie where Sam/BB comes down from the attic into Paul’s room and finds the photograph of them during happier times on his dresser.
