“It’s been a long road since that… night… But now, with the help given to me by the ponies and also the unending support from my dearest, beloved Bluebell, I finally feel ready to start over. Thus, we made the decision to move to Sire’s Hollow to start anew.”
“We will be taking up residence in New Sanctuary castle, where we will be both working for the Lady’s household itself. Between Bluebell and myself, we are to be the Lady’s cooks, and we couldn’t be happier.”

Hey everyone,
Today marks yet another step in my Nightkin redesign project, with today’s subject being none other than Juniper; the doe that survived the most grievous injuries of ANY of the known surviving Nightkin.
Literally holding her own intestines in as she collapsed on the edge of the rural Manehattan suburbs a week after the Sundering, along with the once severe bleeding from literal axe wounds, and the ensuing infections, it was a miracle that Juniper survived that journey all alone. Thankfully, she was found just quickly enough to save her life and begin repairing her extensive physical wounds.
It was not long after this that she was taken in by a female of the arboreal deer species named Bluebell- a kind and gentle mother hen of a doe who slowly got Juniper to open up and tell her how she got injured in the first place. This was the beginning of her journey in dealing with her severe PTSD. Yet, despite everything, the two fell in love and have been together ever since, now living together as life-partners.
After word of the Sundering got out, Juniper was freely given therapy by the Equestrian state and has even met Celestia and Luna- figures that are considered deities within the Nightkin’s more religious members. Juniper is one such doe and fainted at the very sight of them.
Regardless, with the reformation of the Nightkin as a tiny but growing protectorate of Equestria located in Sire’s Hollow, almost all of the surviving Nightkin, along with disaffected members from some other species are flocking to their new home and banner. Sire’s Hollow, once a sleepy town in the middle of a forest, is now a boomtown that rivals Ponyville for its diversity of peoples.
For those who are curious, Juniper is a horrifically scarred doe, and wears her poncho to cover up the gnarled and jagged scars from public view. Her scars are most certainly NOT hidden below her fur, and she gets very touchy regarding them. As well as she is coping now, the PTSD is still affecting her, just to a lesser degree now.
Additionally, I added a dyed green stripe to her mane, to represent her original mane colour- even though her mane is almost pure white now as a result of all the stress that she has been through.
