Sun drawn on this card is not the Sun of Princess Celestia. It is an Ancient Sun, also known as the Sun of Pale Horn, praised by the scholars of ancient Griffin Kingdom. In times when this Sun was shining, they say trees that looked like a pale horn grew on land. Now, Princess Celestia has sealed it in a place where nopony can find it and replace it with a new Sun she made. The symbol representing this Ancient Sun card is no significant difference compared to present Sun. It represents Activeness, Abundance, Motivation Enthusiasm and as well as Happiness. Although, I am not certain if that happiness was same as the happiness of ponies. Source
