Well, before this, Finesse was the adopted child of Fancy Pants and Fleur de Lis. That is no longer the case, as she is the child of Featherbangs and Bulky Biceps. So that leaves Fancy and Fleur childless… or does it?

Enter stage right, Double Diamond! Double Diamond, their shining boy, too kind and trusting for his own good, raised with pure intentions and a highly involved family. Despite having every opportunity to and many ponies at their disposal, Fancy and Fleur never skimped out on time with their kid. They would cancel any meetings, photoshoots, parties and more in a heartbeat to prioritize their child’s comfort.

Had a nightmare? Guess we’re staying up until you go to bed, cancel my meeting tomorrow. Broke his favorite toy by accident? We’ll pick up a new one together later– no sending a servant off to do it. Double Diamond was taught independence and not to rely on servants to do everything for him. He was taught to see the good in everypony, that there were no “lesser” ponies. He was taught that everypony is equal, and to treat them as such, no matter what anypony says.

And yet, how could such tragedy befall the family after all they had planned?
