Original Description:
So in making Cassieverse my main project, I wanted to introduce the main characters of the story. These will be the characters whose storylines will be followed most closely. A little description on each of them below, from left to right.
Cassiopeia (Cassie)
- Daughter of Princess Twilight Sparkle and Commander Tempest Shadow
- Alicorn, has a bit of a scruffier appearance than other alicorns
- Banished from Equestria for her crimes against the royal family
- Currently living in the far east, beyond mapped Equestria
- A powerful magic user, but has little to no control
- In one of these uncontrolled bursts of magic, she blew off Flurry Heart’s horn
- Roams freely and doesn’t stay in one place for too long to avoid being recognized
- Not a true alicorn (does not possess the magic of all three pony races- only possesses unicorn and earth pony magic)
- Due to a lack of pegasus magic, she can’t fly well at all
- Does not intend on returning to Equestria. Her guilt over what she did to Flurry Heart keeps her outcast in shame
- The shortest alicorn of the next generation
- Can disguise her appearance and appear as a unicorn or an earth pony
Panther (originally Moonfall)
- Son of Princess Luna and King Sombra
- His birth was kept secret from all- the only living pony to know of his existence is Luna
- Loved by his mother, but also brought shame to her, given that she had coupled with a tyrant (Sombra) to have him
- Abandoned in the western woods by Luna on his sixth birthday
- Rescued by a western zebra, and raised with the tribe
- Earned the name “Panther” by killing the black panthers that plagued the tribe. Shed his given name, Moonfall, with no hesitation
- The oldest of the alicorns, and skinniest (lack of food supply in the far west)
- The only true born alicorn (possess all pony race traits)
- Magic is powerful but without a unicorn teacher, unmastered
- Magic is mainly shadow-based
- Plagued by nightmares, and hears whispers during the day
- Lead Defender of the Farasi Zebra Tribe
- Intends on returning to Equestria to claim his birthright and distribute Equestria’s hoarded riches/resources with the rest of the known world
Flurry Heart
- Eldest daughter of former Queen Cadence and former King Consort Shining Armor
- Princess of the Empire
- Former heir to the Crystal Throne
- Not a true alicorn, only possesses pegasus magic
- Tallest alicorn of the next generation
- Grew up an unchecked bully, lost her horn because of it
- Despite the loss of her horn, still possesses a powerful connection to the Crystal Heart
- Undergoes physical and emotional therapy with Tempest Shadow, the mother of her assailant, and her technical aunt
- Falls into depression after the loss of her horn and the crowning of her sister, Love Letter
- As a result, the colors of her mane, tail, wings, and eyes dim to reflect the loss of her spirit
- Is the first to speak out against her sister’s tyrannical rule
- Tries, but struggles, to become a better person with Tempest’s guidance
Love Letter
- Youngest daughter of former Queen Cadence and former King Consort Shining Armor
- Current Queen of the Empire
- Spontaneous fire-wielder, can create flame magic telepathically (horn doesn’t light up)
- Sociopathic and largely devoid of emotion
- Goal is to free her citizens of Cadence’s mind-control magic, the same magic King Sombra used to craft a slave-run Empire
- The support she receives motivates her to move her sights from the Crystal Empire, and refocus on liberating the entire world
- Brings back public execution as capital punishment
