So though I’m not quite fully back in the saddle yet, and life is still kicking my butt really quite hard, I managed to get this small project off my docket and completed this long overdue redesign.
Almost everything about Curtain Wall here has been changed, apart from her general colour scheme- but even then there have been a number of alterations in that regard. Her mane and tail are fresh, and she has had her scarring removed. Also removed was her forest-green hoodie. I thought she looked better without it. Her cutie mark is heavily revised from the grey castle wall that it once was, but follows a similar pattern.
She was one of the first ponies I depicted back near the beginning of my time on DeviantArt, and was one of the characters from the second short story that I posted here, called “A Castle Built for Two.”
For those that haven’t read that little ditty, Curtain Wall is a 47 year old widowed ex-mercenary, and lost her beloved husband during a contract a while prior to the events of the story. Her mane has greyed well before it’s time, and was once a vivid and glossy blonde. As an additional note, she is trained with quite a few weapons, but tends to prefer using polearms, and still keeps her armour and weapons just in case of an emergency.
She eventually found love again, and now lives with a human man in the small town of Tall Tale, located on the far western coast of Equestria.
Curtain Wall just wants to live out the rest of her days peacefully with her lover, but old habits die hard, and this old soldier’s paranoia is a difficult nut to crack.
