I know this is basically a crack ship pulled out from the depths of the unknown, but it is so funny. And who doesn’t love a funny dynamic.

Frustrated local villain continuously fails to kill one stallion due to said stallion’s own bad luck.

Troubleshoes Clyde, a large stallion, down to earth, a little reserved, and with bad luck that mostly afflicts himself. He surprisingly meets the fearsome Sombra after he travels to watch a rodeo posted in the crystal empire. He gets lost after losing his hotel ticket, misses his next train, soon his scarf to the wind, and then slips into some slippery ice running to grab his scarf. Then he meets Sombra in all his proud glory.

Ex-King Sombra, banished to guard the outlands of the Crystal Empire, (until they figure out what to do with him) encounters a large stallion that can barely walk on the snow without tripping after barely five steps. Though he may not be as powerful as before he still should be feared among the pony and he would give them a reason to.

And thus for a while Sombra tries to intimidate and harm Troubleshoes, but while Troubleshoes is frightened, hilariously his bad luck affects him to a point of keeping him alive from Sombra’s harm.

Throwing him down a cliff, he somehow lands on a cushioned snow pile a few feet below that he didn’t know about.

Hurling a bunch of sharp icicles and he slips at the right time to avoid them.

Causing a snow avalanche, and just when he thought it would work, the stallion fell in a trench. He came out with a broken hoof but alive!

And so on and so on-

Sombra was (metaphorically) pulling at his hair with each fail!

And so Sombra went to personally confront the troublesome stallion and later yelled at him for minutes on end about how terrible his luck is and how it’s been ruining his plans to kill him.

Troubleshoes has never been so frightened, so baffled, yet a little smitten by being noticed and praised-in a weird way- by a majestic and beautiful powerful being.

And so the pinning of Troubles Shoes and Sombra begins. Sombra has no idea he’s getting wooed, he just wants to kill him. Why is it so difficult!?

I made sombra taller and more reindeer like since I wanted him to be more snow adapted (and yes, he does have the fluffy reindeer butt) and imposing but he acts like a rich cat-lady who’s probably killed her divorced husband, committed a few crimes, yet gets into petty arguments for the sake of arguing.

Btw I was reading trouble shoes quotes in the mlp wiki, and let me tell you that I imagined his voice to sound like Arthur from RDR 2 and I have not been the same. Like yes he has an establish voice, but like imagine.
