Augh. Dude, I don’t even like censoring my own artwork. 😆

So, yeah, here’s my obligatory anti-SOPA piece.

While I agree that piracy isn’t a good thing for the entertainment industry(I mean, as a wannabe writer/artist/graphic novelist, I understand the desire to protect your work and get your fair share out of it.), giving out the potential power to censor things like Google, Twitter, Facebook, DA, Tumblr, the list goes on, is extreme and punishing to people who don’t deserve punishment.

Including but not limited to, people just expressing themselves and their love for something, be it a movie, a show, a book, a video game…I have seen fans create GREAT things, not because they’re trying to steal the copyrighted material, but because they love it.

And let’s face it, if Facebook or whatever is shut down, I’m cut off from my friends. If DA and Etsy(cause I’m thinkign of getting on there to SELL art) and Tumblr get shut down or censored all to f***, Where’s my art gonna go. I can get a demand for geeky, kitschy stuff on the internet that I don’t think I can find as much demand for around here, in the little shops. Hell! I’m even trying to see about getting into the business of selling ECCHI work, and I can definitely NOT take those to the little shops that are run by nice, older ladies. No no no.

And if all that shit gets closed down/censored all to f***, I’m gonna be one bored little panda.

In celebration of our freedom, I’m going to have to dissect this piece for all the little drawings so I can show them off without the censoring…

the Sherlock and John one I’m proud of, I drew it with no reference aside from the fact that I’ve saturated myself in BBC Sherlock for the last few days… All done from memory. 🙂 Same with the other Martin Freeman as Bilbo. And The Jak and Daxter one is just hilarious, I think, lol.

And this has shown me that I need to get back into doing semi-realism/portraiture, maybe spin out some Sherlock art. Cause DAMN this was just a big doodle barf thing.

I’m aware, though, that Finn looks absolutely demented. 😆

I admit I just wanted to get this done, so it’s very sloppy.

Now on to exercising my freedom of speech and art-making! ❤️
