In the My Little Pony show bible, there was an episode that didn’t survive the cutting room floor called “Bring On the Thunder”.
 
 
According to the show bible: “Apple Seed aka Apple Bloom had a new idea on how to obtain her cutie mark and Rainbow Dash agreed to help her out. This happened to be on the same day the Blue Thunders aka the Wonderbolts would be performing in town. Rainbow Dash would neglect Apple Seed while she spent her time trying to impress the Blue Thunders with a daredevil son, who would often not be paying attention. When she finally got their attention, she noticed Apple Seed was in danger, so Rainbow Dash gave up on her dreams of joining the acrobatic team in order to save the little filly, missing her big chance to become a Blue Thunder herself.”
