I’ve mentioned before that Lacuna and even Celestia spend a lot of time on Sweet Apple Acres property. For some reason, it seems to be very calming to the both of them, though Lacuna tends to have… different experiences there. While Celestia roams the Acres alone, the ethereal form of Granny Smith (although younger) loves to “break outta heaven” to come visit Lacuna. After all, Granny was the first pony that Lacuna helped guide to the afterlife, thus earning Lacuna’s cutiemark. And… some unmentioned family history between Celestia and the Apples that Granny won’t even tell Lacuna. Hm.

I should mention, though, no one else can see the phantom of Granny, only Lacuna, and she opts not to mention it to the Apple family, lest they ask for something to be done to bring Granny back.
