The one thing they could do that I think would potentially make G5 better is if they go with the original idea Lauren had where it’s more adventure centered.
 
I envision something similar to He Man, where you have all these villains like Skeletor, Trap Jaw, Hordak, and Beast Man who are in a league with each other, always after the good guys. Only instead it would be MLP villains. Have Grogar as the big, bad, head honcho. And I mean the real one, not that horrible twist bullshit that G4 did. Have Tirek as like his right hand man. Bring in other villains from across the generations. Scorpan, the Smooze, Chrysalis, Bray, ect. They all answer to this all powerful sorcerer.
 
Maybe have an overarching plot. The main characters set out on a quest and Grogar would send out his goons to always try and get in their way. You get more time to develop the characters and world because you don’t have to build up any plot for individual episodes. The plot is already always there. And of course I simply think overarching plots are better at holding interest in a show than episodic shows are. I find myself wanting to know what happens next.
 
They would need to get someone who can give it the same kind of love and care that ATLA got. If they did that, I think something like this could be amazing.
