One day, a spaceship crash-landed near the hive. Awestruck at seeing such a strange craft, Thoras, Pharynx, and the changelings quickly managed to get inside and rescue the crew: a bunch of strange, bipedal apes from another planet. When they awoke, they were shocked to find themselves surrounded by brightly-colored insect ponies, but a few translation spells managed to help the two communicate and learn more about the other. The humans explained that they were the last survivors of a planet called Earth, which had been destroyed in a civil war, leaving the survivors as refugees hurtling through the cosmos in search of a new home.
Feeling sorry for the poor humans, Thorax and the other changelings showered them with affection and love, trying to ease the sting of losing their home planet. To the humans’ surprise, the act was almost like a religious experience, for they had never felt such love, much less a love freely given and magically amplified. Overcome with emotion, they gave all the affection and love they had to the changelings, creating a self-reinforcing feedback loop that only grew stronger and stronger.
It wasn’t long before Thorax realized this could work out to everyone’s benefit.
When everyone had come back to earth from the love-feast, Thorax offered the humans a home in the changeling hive. The changelings would take care of them, keep them safe, and give them all the love they wanted. In return, the humans - who had a much higher sensitivity to magically-amplified love - would lavish the everyone in the hive with affection, ensuring that it would continue to thrive and grow. It would be a symbiotic relationship that benefited both parties, and after discussing it over for a few days, the humans agreed to the arrangement. Besides, the changelings were adorable, making it ridiculously easy to lavish them with affection… That, and the humans were eager to experience the ecstasy of magical love.
Thus, the humans moved in with the changelings, and the arrangement worked out beyond everyone’s wildest dreams. The love shared between the two species provided all the energy the changelings needed, making the hive grow ever bigger. Then, by pure accident (and a kinky human), it was discovered that when humans were mummified and tightly bound in changeling silk, the erotic energy they generated turned them into something akin to fission reactors, amplifying the love they received to orgasmic levels; when changelings then received that love in return, it was so powerful they became like gods.
It wasn’t long before every human willingly allowed themselves to be permanently mummified.
When they aren’t receiving and giving love, humans are lovingly placed inside changeling cocoons to rest, floating within nutrient-rich fluid, the warm, snug, and nourishing environment giving them the most relaxing sleep imaginable. Here, Thorax inspects some of his human subjects, ensuring that they’re resting comfortably, and looking forward to playing with them when they’re released. Little does he know of the glorious future that awaits them all: Within a few years, the changelings will eclipse ponykind as the most powerful nation on Equs and take over the planet, the limitless power provided by the humans allowing them to share love with every single being on Equs, ushering a golden age that would last forever.
