I can’t really dislike much about it,it either improved on or went in a completely different direction from the original.  
Also I just really loved it all.  
As for Bow’s siblings,I figured they may have been adopted as older teens,a friend of mine in High school had several sisters who had been adopted in their teens.

You see, I feel like he was the least of the problems with the reboot. The “valley girl”-esque, extremely shallow princesses outside of Glimmer, the “fluid sexuality” of all of the characters feeling forced, the rushed ending and tacked-on romance (VLD and Star Vs. flashbacks intensify), Bow’s 12 siblings from gay fathers (don’t misunderstand, gender/sexual fluidity and LGBTQ+ representation is no problem, I’m a SU fan, but wat), the list goes on.
 
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the series after getting past the first season, but I feel there’s a lot of places it really fell flat or just felt overall forced.
 
EDIT: Just a clarification about “tacked-on romance” - it was justified, desired and deserved, but felt more like a fan nod with its sudden lead up rather than a natural character development.

Come to think of it, Dex may have been on to something with their first comment. The dark, foreboding tone does indeed feel like OG Swift Wind. And, if this reboot holds any of the original trappings (by all that’s pink and sugary, this damn well better) then we’re likely to see references that far back to appeal to the 30-somethings this is really targeted at.

I’d have to agree. Not every unicorn, alicorn, or pony in general, is an mlp reference.

Updated the source to the official trailer rather than some rando’s teardown of the original trailer.
 
That said, is this really MLP related at all? Alicorns aren’t exactly unique to MLP and there’s no cutie mark.

I hope this reboot is good.
