Also it’s Been awhile since I did something from scratch; in fact I think this is first series I’ve done where I went from pencil and paper to complete CG (my pencil and paper skills are rather weak, but I’ve been trying to work on it lately) so that’s one reason I rather like this short series. The second is I am thrilled by this fancy brush in illustrator I made that made the feathers WAY easier to do; one stroke = one feather, I would have posted a video of that in action, but really you could google “how to make a “art brush” in Adobe Illustrator” and you should be able to understand what I did if you care to know about that kind of stuff.
Also I have to confess, I kind of bitched out of making a cool pose for the last frame. I wanted to kind of have her torso twist in such a way that that her legs were still front facing, but the top half would be identical to how it is now. Between having to deal with the wings and just not feeling confident I went with a basic back shot XD. Maybe next time or in a different pic ; )
