Well basically, I’m fairly certain at a base level nothing for Fallout Equestria would ever exist. But the idea dug itself in and I explored it, and taking a certain level of artistic liberty I decided that if the characters of FoE were to exist in a world where the Great War did not happen or was not as intense and world-ending a conflict as it was in the book: then what would things be like if they were all retained to live at around the same time? And in addition: if at least the main characters of the core story lived close enough to be a part of a network, and so may either know each other well, or be acquainted? And thirdly: what would they be doing?
In the end the answer came down to: they all get together on a weekend to play a heavily home-brewed table-top RPG game put on by Homage at her place as a means to bring together her disparate friend group. An added layer to this scenario that came about at one point is that in order to mitigate rents, she co-rents a building with Applesnack who also completes the scene. And of course, some original FoE elements remain and is recast into a new situation entirely.
This went on long enough and I wormed in what small jokes I could this might end up becoming a AU I revisit visually to mess about.
