Description

Name: Solomon
Nickname(s): Sol, Solo
Age: 23
Birthday: September 30
Parents: Moondancer and an anonymous donkey sperm donor
Siblings: N/A
Future Spouse: Honeycrisp
Children: Chelsea (future daughter), Wheat Grass (future adoptive son), Amphritite (future adoptive daughter)
Personality:
A mule growing up in Canterlot is almost guaranteed not to fit in, and Solomon is no exception. He always stood out in the crowd, and not necessarily in a good way as he was picked on and ostracized endlessly as a colt. Because of this, he became sharp at reading emotions so as to avoid trouble before it happens, but he also uses this ability to look out for his friends. Solomon is extremely smart, both academically and socially, with a passion for learning and a heart of gold as well. He is worth so much more than the schoolyard bullies tried to make him believe.
Relationships:
While Solomon does love his mother, she is a pony who doesn’t quite understand what it’s like to be a mule in Equestria. Moondancer might have felt left out by her friends once, but it doesn’t compare to what Solomon has faced, he believes. Regardless, she ties very hard, and she has always supported her son in everything he did.
One of Solomon’s closest friends is Discovery, a classmate from college. As a pony with Aspergers and as a mule, neither quite fit in with most of their peers but they found a sense of belonging together. Plus, both are very academically-minded and have a lot of common interests to bond over. They get together for study dates often, even long after their formal education years are over.
Discovery isn’t the only Apple who Solomon is close with. Solomon has also taken a liking to Discovery’s sister Honeycrisp, a sweet schoolteacher from Ponyville. Both are very socially and academically intelligent, seeing eye-to-eye on a lot of things with never a dull conversation. It is clear that Honey likes him just as much, but her and Discovery’s little sibling Somerset won’t leave either of them alone about it.
Cutie Mark:
Though not a unicorn, Solomon is very interested in learning about the magic of different types of equines, especially from a mathematical perspective. The protractor and sparkles on his flank represent that. He hopes that through his studies, he might come to understand himself and others better, and how they can harness their own magic to reach their fullest potential.
