I still remember when I tried to design my very first original character. It was intimidating trying to think of a name color combinations, hair style… but I did it anyway. And then it got easier. And over the course of 9 years, I ended up making 127 custom character (if I counted right). About half have their own cutie marks and there are a lot with names, characters, background that are featured in comics or in my fanfic.
 
Doing this collage is something I’ve been thinking about for a long, long time and when I started it, I knew it was going to be tough. I started this 2 years ago and have been working on it little by little since then. Besides the original sketches, the complete overhaul and redo where I redefined my art-style and tried to make the poses more natural and interesting, I had to do line work, text (names and details), color, shading, highlights, and then the backgrounds… those stinking backgrounds (they’re such a pain!).
 
Now that the show has ended and because I got close to finishing, I’ve been working on it every day for weeks to finish it up and now it’s done! I suppose Thanksgiving day is fitting given that I’m so grateful for the show that inspired my art and kept me motivated to grow and improve.
 
EDIT - If you looked at it in the first hour, you’ll have to look for the updated version. As is ALWAYS the case, it’s only after I upload it that I find some key errors and oversights. I have fixed the ones I found.
