After that maybe she can search out some place to have dinner. She thinks about the hotel, and remembers that there was that pony who was cooking a bunch of food. She supposes she could check out Antoine’s flat as well, as he said he had food there.
It might be a good idea to check out his flat again anyway. Perhaps she can find some answer there as to why he is acting so strange.
She heads out the City Hall’s door and goes to the place the map labeled as “McClank’s Smithy”. She enters through the front door of the place to reveal a small room cramped with various metal tools as well as pottery, fresh wood, and some furniture. She doesn’t see anyone around, but from the back of the store Mulbbery can hear the thump of metal on metal.
She approaches cautiously and through a doorway sees a forge, as well as more pottery and lumber. Near the back hammering away on a piece of metal is a stallion.
“Um… Hello?” She says to the pony.
He doesn’t respond, and after trying a few more times he finally turns and says, “Hm? Oh sorry. Got caught up in my work. Can I help you?”
“I’m assuming you are the blacksmith. Mr. McClank was it?” Mulberry says. “Nice to meet you, my name is Mulberry.”
“Blacksmith. Potter. Carpenter. Upholstery and leatherworks…” He lists off with a sigh. “I do it all, pretty much.”
“Ah. I see. Do you deal in weaponry? Maybe something small that I could use?” Mulberry asks hopefully.
“Weaponry?” McClank says raising an eyebrow. “I mean, I have knives, but there are more for the kitchen. You know, cleavers, boning knives, butter knives… I spend most of my time fixing plows and making tools for the fishery. ‘Fraid I don’t have much experience with swords and stuff.” He says, going back to work.
