For the longest time, I had thought about crafting a Nyan Cat custom. Set aside the pony base, but never got the proper vision to actually do it. Over recent years I’ve considered maybe it would be a good idea to craft a Deadpool custom, especially showcasing his unicorn companion.  
I eventually got the vision, to not only craft his unicorn, but after running into a gray cat pillow at Walmart that barfs rainbow and a blue heart pillow that says NOPE on it, this vision from the 3 sources started to collide. I decided to make Nyan cat the gray cat from Walmart, with the rainbow flowing out of its butt only, instead of mouth. Then also turn Nyan into a kind of unikitty concept, for Deadpool’s unicorn. And put a horn on Deadpool too for added measure.
 
…so that is how this came to be. And I was smiling throughout the entire photoshoot because of the sheer epicness of this project.  
Pony base for the Nyan cat is a generation 1 pony. Deadpool’s pony base is a Bratz pony. Both figures coated in white gesso primer, then Nyan and Deadpool are fully painted in acrylic paints. Nyan’s horn is severed from a 5 below sitting fakie unicorn, and Deadpool’s unicorn horn is severed from a zilla talking/light up Celestia generation 4 figure. I didn’t seal any of the paint because of the gloss and glitters.
 
Nyan’s kitty tail is faux fur stitched around thick wire, ears are same faux fur and I threaded the thick wire through the muzzle for the whiskers.  
I designed Nyan’s poptart as a saddle, using thick leather and painted it to resemble a poptart. I made 2 patches from leather like Deadpool’s unicorn has, but I turned the heart patch into the Nope heart and put a red patch on opposite side. Detailed their stitches with hemp cord.
 
Nyan’s mane and tail are a rainbow of nylon mlp dollyhair in the colors lapis sapphire, sea nymph, pomme d’ amor, guacamole, sunset, daiquiri ice, electric banana and The DollPlanet’s blue crush.  
Tail is permanently styled/shaped with hair gel method, but is designed to be the rainbow wave stringing behind Nyan.
 
Deadpool’s detailes/accessories are black ribbon, brown and black leather, and brown bias tape folded for the belt bags. He is fully hairless but that’s okay.  
Deadpool is attached through the back of the Nyan pony with thick, flat aluminum wire.
