So, I’m not an artist by any means. I can animate just fine, but not draw really.
 
My whole life the only thing I was ever slightly “good” at drawing was Sonic The Hedgehog. But at UK Ponycon, at a Speed Art contest, they chose my piece to win one of three prizes. So I went back to my hotel that night and tried drawing Blue Streak a bunch, with each of them getting better and better, until one where I was super impressed with myself with shading and everything.
 
SO. This right here is my first ever attempt at digital drawing. I don’t have a draw-pad, so it was hand-drawn with a mouse in Flash using the pencil tool (and fill tool). I only added the Blue Streak in the corner to steal colours from, the drawing was made without a reference.
 
The only things that I applied to the image after the initial drawing was the “smooth lines” option, and then I did a bit of that manually too on select few parts of the drawing.
 
And with that, here it is. A drawing that, for most people, might not seem like much. But to me, as someone who can’t do art at all, nevermind digital art, I’m super pleased with the outcome. You know, besides the small wings and back legs. But oh well ^_
 
Lemme know what you think! You can critique it if you really want, but remember again that I am NOT an artist, and have no intention to get super good at art. So I don’t want you wasting your time with all these tips or things I could do better or whatever that might be wasted on a person like me ^_
