I watched Steven Universe recently (I already knew pretty much everything about the show really, I just needed to officially watch it) and suddenly a lot of NG fanart ideas specially inspired by the songs came to my mind.
 
I was originally going to do just Roy and Turquoise, but after I got kindheart525 to give me a little more background on Paint’s death (which I clearly haven’t forgiven you for but that doesn’t stop me from fanarting) I had to do Lightning and Firework too. The first scene takes place at the Dash family household. I imagine Firework constantly spending hours sat on the floor of Paint’s room. While Roy does the same at their own house, staring at Paint’s pictures, or at her side of the bed.
 
Turquoise and Lightning are there to tell it’s time to move on.
 
(I know Turq is not particularly closely related to Roy and Paint but I needed a stern and serious character for the pic, and since her and Paint used to be friends, at least from childhood, she seemed to fit best)
