Yet another art piece commissioned by me, this time from MiniFeru on DeviantArt to have a designed pony-form reference for my Alicorn OC, Alexandrine.
 

 
The below is copied from another reference image, but details Alexandrine’s backstory.
 
One of the first beings to come into existence on Eqqus (the planet that Equestria is part of in my canon), Alexandrine is the true mother of the Alicorn race, and in some way/shape/form all other beings on Eqqus, with full 100% goddess-level power, including the ability to create things, destroy them, and the ability to at times and with enough concentration manipulate life and existence to her will. Long ago, during what in-universe is called the “First Alicorn Era”, she ruled over everything, and helped shape existence to help create some of the races in Equestria. She was ruthless long ago, though, feared for her strength and power, anyone that had questioned her authority and power was usually struck down. Eventually imprisoned by many other Alicorns in the First Era when she became less ruthless, and enamored with non-Alicorns, her imprisonment lasted for many MANY eons, until the destruction of a majority of all Alicorns in existence during the fall of the Second Era of Alicorns (which also is comprised of Alicorns in controlling positions, but with far less power due to the eons of dilution of genetically-handed-down power over many many thousands of years) in which the First Era Alicorn magical barriers keeping her imprisoned were shattered and damaged by the shockwave of the destruction of the Second Era, and Alex’s power slowly returned to herself until she could shatter the barrier and return to the world.
 
Called historically as “The First Alicorn”, during the First Era a mythology began to evolve around where she came from, including stating that she was a “divine being” created by the Gods. Such mythology was purged except for a few ancient documents during the fall of the First Era, and Alex’s imprisonment.
 
Some design notes: the intricate pattern on her skin (on the left side) doesn’t show unless she’s really pissed off (and her magic is as such amplified), or unless she is casting a massively powerful spell, or in certain cases when she’s with somepony in bed. Otherwise, the intricate pattern on her body doesn’t show. The intricate skin markings glow with her magical aura and energy when being used, and are in place of a cutie mark.
