You’re not sure how they found your house, but you know that’s not a good sign. You think about moving but, if they figured out where you live this easily you’d imagine that it wouldn’t be that hard for them to find you again.
“File you look worried, what’s wrong?”
“This package is from Wintermute”
“What!? I’m running a security scan now!”
Brandy looks very concerned on screen as she looks at the status of your network.
“I just found three ports open that shouldn’t have been open. I’ve closed them.”
“Thank you Brandy. Boot up the gaming OS, I need to get my mind off of things.”
“Yes File.”
You look through the list of games that are currently installed:
Damnation - A first person shooter about a space marine escaping from Tartarus. It’s one of your favorite games and you’ve beaten it many times.
Grand-Zero - An air-car racing simulator. When they advertised it as a simulator they really meant it. even though it’s really meant to be played with a wheel set up you’ve gotten good enough to play it with the keyboard.
Spears of the patriots- A fantasy action rpg. Sometime you spend hours just exploring in it, very atmospheric.
And of course there is also Cuti-Clash - which is an arena style fighter played with a VR helmet. You never really liked this game but when it came out, there was so much hype that you couldn’t avoid getting a copy of it. The only fun you’ve had with it has been opening a public server with mods activated and watching the dweebs that play it struggle to figure our your new rules.
You look over the games and struggle to decide what you want to play.
You also remember that Brandy can place herself in any of these games with you as an NPC partner. Another one of those things that the kind of people that make personal assistant A.I.s are naturally going to program in.
Of course you could also pirate some other games from the net or you could simply play with Brandy as well in her sandbox mode.
