Now, to finish the members of Sombra’s army, here are the elite soldiers, they are rarely seen on the battlefield but if you do, it might be the last thing you’ll see.
 
Corrupted alicorn: Despite their name and look they are not true alicorn but rather crystal ponies who were artificially given wings and horn and infused with tremendous amount of dark powers from Sombra himself. 
Even if they don’t compare to a true alicorn, they are powerful enough to destroy entire groups of soldiers all by themselves.
 
Unlike the crystal mage’s, their shield is extremely resistent to both magical and physical attacks ; the only way to break it is to launch multiple attacks on differents sides at the same time. One of these was deployed in Cloudsdale in order to retrieve the magic mirror that Celestia hid there and it took the combined efforts of Rainbow, Pinkie, Maud and many other soldier to break it’s defense and bring it down.
 
Because it cost him a lot of energy to create one and many of them rebelling could be dangerous for him, Sombra created only a few of them, also their mental control is stronger than the one on the other soldiers, which greatly decrease their mental capacity and, for that reason, they are often placed under a crystal commander’s orders.
 
Crystal golem: Huge magical creature brought to life by dark magic, their body is incredibly tough and will reform if broken. The only way to defeat them is to break their head and destroy the dark magic core inside it. 
They were often used in the beggining of the war but after the dragons joined the war, they became less used as an adult dragon could easily tear down their body with their teeth.
