“And who is this? Sorry to say, but Fluttershy isn’t home right now.”

Faunasha backed up slightly, narrowing her eyes at the large, noodle-esque draconequuus in the middle of Fluttershy’s house. “…I’m Faunasha. And you’re Discord, spirit of Chaos, right?” her tail flicked nervously as she held out her hoof, “I’m assuming you’re a friend of Fluttershy?”

“Why, yes! I just came over to visit her, but it seems she’s not home. I was just going to wait here for her.” Discord said. He took her hoof with the intention of shaking it.

Hoof touched paw, and Faunasha jumped back with a jolt, feeling the spell she had cast to disguise herself flicker for just a moment. Discord pulled back as well, the look of surprise on his face replaced with a huge grin.

“Do my eyes deceive me? Am I standing before Lady Fauna Shaman, the princess of animals?” Discord said with a grin. Faunasha bared her teeth with a soft hiss, glaring daggers at him.

“How-How did you-”

“Oh, just this and that. Nevermind, what about you? One of the few of your kind that still roams Equestria, and you have made friends with Fluttershy!”

“Friends-” Faunasha sputtered, “She’s not–I mean, we’re not like- I don’t make friends with ponies.”

Discord tossed back his head with a hearty laugh, “Says themare who disguises herself as a pony!”

Faunasha huffed, stamping one hoof on the floor, “I’m just intrigued about her connections with animals, is all! I prefer to not associate myself with those ponies.”

Discord chuckled, bringing himself to eye level with the mare, brushing the tip of his tail under her chin. “Now, that won’t do at all! Surely you have made some friends all these years, right? And I can help you find new ones!”

The mare snorted, “You? Help me make friends? Don’t make me laugh, Discord. Why would you help me?”

“Because we’re a lot alike!”

“Just because we both have antlers–”

“That’s not what I meant,” Discord interrupted, “We’re both outsiders, living alongside ponies! All you need is a little help!”
