“Praline, make a break for the door. I’ll do something to distract her.” Emerald says. Praline whimpers in response, and as the colt lunges for a spare chunk of something on the ground Praline guns it for the door. Emerald tosses it as hard as he can at Stargazer, and though it hits her it just sort of crumbles on impact. It was probably just a chunk of dirt.
 
To Emerald’s satisfaction Praline escaped fine however. Stargazer didn’t even seem concerned about her at all. Thinking back on what she said, it’s pretty clear she only wants him anyway.
 
Stargazer screeches and hops from the top of the barn at the little colt. Emerald dives for the hay bales, and begins to run under, over and around any of them that he can to hide.

“Don’t think I don’t recognize you, child. I fed you some of my own delicious cooking and you wouldn’t even stick around to give me something I wanted.” the voice of Stargazer comments somewhere behind Emerald, “Now that I lost my wagon though, I’m going to need much more than before. Why don’t you come out and make a donation, trust me, it’ll be quite fun!”
 
Emerald wishes he had his dragonfire lamp with him, but he left his backpack at the main house. Joyride would be able to solve this no problem…
