One beautiful day on the Savanna, Kekere the Dik-Dik was just enjoying the sunshine and grasses when suddenly, something caught her attention at the corner of her eye.  
It was some-what hidden in between a peculiar looking rock and a shrub. Being her curious self, she went to investigate the strange object.  
As she approached it, she got a very good look at it.  
It looked like a big, shiny eye-type of thingamajig that had a small blinking red light accompanying it.  
It didn’t seem to move in any way what so ever, so Kekere didn’t sense any threat from it. But she did feel like she was being watched by it.  
It was very intriguing to her, so much so, that she wanted to tell some of her other friends about it!
 
She dashed away from the thingy only to return a little while later with a few friends. These few being the first 3 that she came across.
 
 
Kekere - “Just wait till you see this thing! It looks like a giant eye ball!”
 
Zeka - “Oh, I’ll believe when I see it, Kekere. And I see everything that there is to see!”
 
Kekere - “But you haven’t seen this yet!”
 
Nuk - “I-I hope this thing doesn’t suddenly attack us…….It could very well be a predator just playing dead o-or something…..
 
Kekere - “Oh no, it’s completely safe! I put my nose right to it and it didn’t do anything of the sort. It just stared at me weirdly.
 
Salma - “Well, if it does decide to move, I’ll let it chase me first so you all can get away before it eats one of you. I have great stamina as you know.”
 
Nuk - “Hey! I can run fast as well!……You just don’t see me do it often.”
 
Salma - “Oh really? Well I–~~”
 
Kekere ~~ “Alright! Here it is!”
 
 
They all look at it…….
 
 
Nuk - “Uhhh…..Zeka? Do you know what that is…..?
 
Zeka - “I’m…..not sure……
 
Salma - “I’ve never seen anything like that in my life either…”
 
Kekere - “See look! No matter how close I go to it, it just stays there and looks at me weirdly.”
 
Nuk - “Um, Kekere?……I don’t think you should get that close to it…… It still could very well be a p-predator…..
 
Kekere - “Nah, I don’t think so. I think it’s kind of cute!……….Can we keep it???
 
Salma - “Are you nuts!? We have no idea what this thing is. And the way it just stares at us is really creeping me out!
 
Kekere - “Awwwww, but I wanted to name him Eyebo! For his one eye thingy!”
 
Salma - “Eyebo??? Pfffff! That’s a silly name for a……whatever that is.
 
Zeka - “I think we should just leave it be. We don’t know where it came from or who put it there. But one thing’s for sure, I’ve never seen anything like that before.
 
Kekere - “AWWWWWW….Alright, if you say so Zeka…………..Can I at least come visit him every so often at this bush????
 

 
Hahahahahaha!  
Basically the park ranger set up a hidden live-feed camera for the purpose of studying and researching natural African wildlife without disturbing the animals in the process.  
This was based off of those certain videos you see on YouTube or TV of various animals discovering a camera and not knowing what it is.  
They most often would stare at it strangely, smell it, play with it, all while the camera itself is recording.
 
I wondered what would happen if a few of my characters where to stumble upon one of these cameras.  
Apparently, it’s the cutest thing ever!  
And I’m really proud of how the art came out depicting this scenario!
