What started >>1952922 and >>1958705, finished here. I’m quite proud of how this has come out so far. There’s a lot that could have gone wrong, but it turned out pretty well. The real problem is the hands. Hands, even four fingered cartoon hands, will always be hard to draw. Especially in this composition. Drawing it in landscape on 8x11 paper, doesn’t allow elbow room to draw the hands and the Xbox One controllers they are holding in any great detail. A reason to get a new, large format scanner. This is nothing that some time in GIMP can’t fix. Which is were this piece is going next. I’m not bothering with creating a cleaned up ‘final’ version for scanning. Thanks to the dirt on the glass inside my decade old scanner, I’m doing hours of lineart clean up anyway. Another reason to get a new scanner.
