With three months left, I complete my New Years resolution; practice doing backgrounds.
I have a lot of work ahead of me but it’s a good start, YouTube is a god send!!
Anywhom, fairly self explanatory. Some Pegasi, similar to their bird counterparts, migrate. This can be for a variety of reasons, most commonly during winter have to retreat the clouds to build up their magic. Each pony has magic within them but this can become weak overtime when not in their natural habitats. So for Pegasi, if they weren’t to go back to the clouds each year their grip on weather would become weaker and in rarer cases, their flight will become clumsy nearing flightless. Unicorns should return to the mountains, particularly in Crystal caves, in spring to restore their magic. Shires typically return to the meadows during summer. All of these come with their own customs and celebrations.
Unlike the two other species, Pegasi usually see each other as family. They’ll take care of one another with complete ease even if their are no blood ties or much of a conversation between them! So it’s more like an obscenely large family reunion. Due to the high concentration of pegasi in one area, they are able to stay warm throughout the winter months… downside is that the weight of all those pegasi press onto the cloud layer and along with the built up magic can cause very, VERY heavy snowfall.
Unicorns and Shires will usually take spots along the trail of migration paths to watch the stunning colours of pegasi fly above. These groups can range from small families of two to three, all the way to hundreds of thousands flying together as one.
