So I get that he’s annoying and that he’s an elf or whatever. But what’s his name. There isn’t a character tag and the only tag I see that is a name is Puck. And if so then why? Does he pucker when he eats something sour?
Also since I’m not too familiar with G1 MLP. I would like to know if it takes place in a world where humans still exist. Because if it is. Then that honestly sounds like such a fun world to live in when you think about it.
@TrukkinDuck
Oh okay. I was just hoping they weren’t gonna just go with “hey it’s a show for little girls so why not just have a little girl be the only human child welcomed in this show because boys hate ponies”. But I can assure you that MLP has appealed to boys WAY before G4 was even announced as a series.
@Fierce Deity
I’ve seen quite a bit of G1*, so I’ll give you more information than you ever wanted to hear:
Megan is not the only human. As TrukkinDuck said, there were two other kids named Molly and Danny, so there’s a human boy who tags along on the adventures too but I don’t remember why.
There were plenty of other humans who had single-episode appearances:
At the end of Rescue at Midnight Castle, Scorpan turns into his true form, a human prince.
The villains of My Little Pony: The Movie (1986) were three human witches: Hydia and her bumbling daughters Reeka and Draggle. They even sing a song about their (human) ancestors who were just as cartoonishly evil as they are.
The titular character of Somnambula was an evil enchantress who kidnapped ponies and stole their youth to keep herself young forever. She was some random white woman, not an Egyptian pony.
The Ice Cream Wars was about two humans fighting each other over some arbitrary disagreement and the ponies have to make them realize they’re being idiots.
The prince crossing the toll bridge in The Magic Coins, who rides a (non-sapient?) horse and offhandedly references “my father, the King.” The Princess he is off to rescue is presumably a human as well.
The Prince and the Ponies, an entire episode that mostly takes place in a mansion full of humans (with bad French accents, except for the one woman who sounds like she’s from Brooklyn).
Flight to Cloud Castle featured a knight rescuing a princess, who are both either humans or elves (basically humans with long ears).
There were also a few humanoid creatures who look and act nearly identical to humans, such as Beezen, the traveling potion salesgoblin from The Revolt of Paradise Estate; the troll from The Magic Coins and that alter ego of him who shows up at the end, an elf named Mr. Moochick that the ponies often turn to for help; and Puck, the guy in the picture above who just sort of shows up and tags along when the ponies are on a quest, only to disappear at the end of the episode never to be seen again (good riddance!).
*This is not an exhaustive list because I haven’t seen all the episodes, but it’s enough to give you a picture of what the show was like. There was also My Little Pony Tales, where all of the characters are ponies but they act so much like humans that you could replace them all with humans and the plots wouldn’t change.
@Twiface
Also I’m not too familiar with G1. But please tell me Meghan isn’t the only human character they had as a part of the main cast. And by that. I mean please tell me they didn’t go with the sexist kind of route and make Meghan the only human kid to have interactions with the ponies in MLP. Because I know they’re doing it to appeal to their target demographic. But MLP doesn’t have to be only girls right?
@Twiface
I can tell. And I’m sorry but his design here just looks so ugly. It doesn’t even match up with the rest of the art style of G1. I mean seriously! Compare his design with Meghan Williams as a human character design.
She traps people and steals their youth.
Puck is a common name for fairy trickster characters.
Why is Morticia harassing tiny horses?
Somnambula used to be a villain, eh? Nice.

TLDR: G1 was weird.
Edited
Doesn’t that mean it’s targeted at 40 year olds, approximately?
It’s a 36 year old show targeted at little girls.
Danny and Molly are there too

Some character from an episode of the G1 cartoon.
He was really annoying.
