Huggies
Luna paced along the hilltop, thinking………… or, more accurately, worrying her tail off. She was in the Canterlot gardens, just outside the hedge labyrinth. She had a good view of the road that came from the Crystal Empire. She had been watching it ever since Celestia and Sombra had left three days ago for the test with the Crystal Heart. Why couldn’t they just teleport? she fumed, stalking over the short grass. Celestia always insisted on using teleportation as a last resort for some reason.“Waiting for somepony?” a voice behind her asked. Luna whirled around.“Sombra!” she gasped. The grey stallion leaned on a statue a few yards away, wearing his usual grin. “Celestia let me telepo-” He was cut off as Luna barreled into him, flinging her wings around him.“I’ve been worrying for days!!” she shouted in his face. Sombra winced and rubbed his ears.“Ow.”“So,” Luna leaned forward, eyes wide and full of dread, “what happened? Did you pass? Did anypony think you were lying? Did you see anypony you recognized? Was Tia biased for or against you?”“Whoa!” Sombra waved a hoof in the air as if pushing the questions back. “There were a few ponies who thought I was lying, but some ponies from before the possession recognized me, including a bully named Luko. But we’re friends now. He’s turned into a very good pony. And why would you think Celestia would be biased? She’s too good a judge for that.”“You missed one,” Luna told him.“One what?” Sombra asked.“Question! I asked if you passed the test!” Luna stared up at him, uneasiness building up inside her. Sombra looked up at the sky, a smile playing around his mouth as he pretended to concentrate.“Hmm……… You know, I can’t remember.”“SOMBRA!” Luna punched him in the chest. He laughed.“Okay, okay! I passed!” Luna froze for a moment, then leaped into his arms, her wings going around him.“Never do that to me again!” she rebuked him, but Sombra could here the smile in her voice.“Never,” he murmured, putting his hooves around her. They stayed in the embrace for a long time, oblivious to everything around them. Then Sombra leaned back. “Race you to the fountain,” he challenged.“You’ll wish you hadn’t!” Luna called back, already running.
YAY! More style development! I was having a hard time with Sombra’s 3Q head view, until I finally pushed the ‘rectangle face’ out of my head (like this: Shut Up <<< Ew, it’s so bad!! Don;t judge me!! ☹️) and focused on the basic cheek/forehead structure.I also played with Luna’s waist and hips in an attempt to make them for feminine. And with the mouth persepective….ugh. I kept needing to draw a line between MLP cartoon and too realistic. Grrr.Welp, that’s it for now! Let me know what you think in the comments 🙂*NEXT:PREVIOUS:
