The ultimate battle between good and evil has begun! Queen Chrysalis’s smile MLP Friendship is Magic - Lord Tirek humorous Icon Cozy Glow Icon 1

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic ended with a three-part finale, and the first two episodes were the final battle against the Mane’s Six’s remaining enemies, who got all powered-up and proved to be one of their biggest challenges, since their last confrontation with King Sombra. This has now become the Ending of the End! So let’s all prepare for the final battle!

Twilight Spakle’s coronation as Equestria’s new ruler was today, and everypony in the pony kingdom was preparing. But they weren’t the only ones. The Mane Six’s remaining villains - Chrysalis the former queen of the Changelings, Lord Tirek the centaur and son of King Vorak, and Cozy Glow the manipulative Pegasus filly - were brought together by Equestria’s first and greatest enemy, the Emperor of All He Saw, Grogar, as part of his latest plan to retake the kingdom by using what he believed was the Mane Six’s battle strategy - to work together. On the day he recruited the villains, he also resurrected the darklord King Sombra, but he refused to work with others, and, as Grogar predicted, was destroyed for good. However, little did Grogar know, Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow were plotting behind his back. They retrieved his coveted talisman, the Bewitching Bell, and planned on using it against him before they would take their revenge on the ponies who defeated them. But first, they caused some mischief before they were ready to begin their attack on Equestria.

The ending of the end began outside Canterlot, where Chrysalis—disguised as a Unicorn—intercepted a Unicorn baker and informed him that the Earth Ponies and Pegasi were selfishly hoarding food for themselves and refused to share with the Unicorns. In addition to trying to unlock the power of the Bewitching Bell, Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow were sowing distrust between the pony tribes and getting them to turn on each other. Back at Grogar’s lair, using the book they stole from the Canterlot Archives during the final Summer Sun Celebration, the villains learned that the Bell could drain magic from other living beings and, with a spell from the book, they transfered the magic housed inside the Bell to themselves, making them extremely powerful, with Chrysalis possessing more power than she had before, Tirek shifted into his third form, and Cozy Glow transformed into an Alicorn. Their time had come. But first, there was just one thing they had to do first.

When Grogar returned with another artifact to use against the Mane Six, Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy appeared before him and put their plan to overthrow him into action. Using his own Bewitching Bell against him, the other villains drained the ancient emperor of all his power. But in doing so, it turned out that the Grogar who recruited the villains was actually Discord in disguise! With his power completely drained, Discord was forced to retreat on foot. The villains, while shocked by their leader’s true identity at first, allowed him to escape in order to put the rest of their plans into motion. Now that they had Discord’s chaos magic, the villains were unsure on what to do with it; Tirek believed only Discord was capable of handling it. Cozy Glow offered to be a test subject to absorb Discord’s magic. She grew into a gigantic, full-grown Alicorn and briefly went mad with power. But the magic’s chaotic nature proved too unstable for her to control. After stripping Cozy of the chaos magic, the villains decided to keep it stored inside the Bewitching Bell, and they set out to conquer Equestria.

Meanwhile, Discord returned and confessed to the Mane Six, Spike, and the Princesses that he was the one who brought back King Sombra and Chrysalis and released Tirek and Cozy Glow from Tartarus. He explained to them that he assumed the identity of Grogar and brought the biggest villains of Equestria together as part of a plan to boost Twilight’s confidence as a ruler when she defeated them. Despite Discord’s good intentions, the ponies were deeply upset by his actions and poor planning, and Twilight lost confidence in herself, believing none of her and her friends’ successes were their own. After some words of encouragement from her friends, Twilight told Spike to send letters to their other friends and allies across Equestria: The Pillars of Olde Equestria were tasked with guarding the border to Canterlot; Shining Armor and Princess Cadance were told to serve as Equestria’s last line of defense; and Starlight Glimmer and Trixie, the new headmare and guidance counselor of the School of Friendship, were warned about Chrysalis’ imminent arrival. All at once, Twilight rallied her friends, the princesses, and the Canterlot royal guard together for the villains. They all prepared for the biggest fight of their lives.

On the outskirts of Canterlot, Tirek faced off against the Pillars of Olde Equestria. With the power granted to him by the Bewitching Bell, Tirek easily dispatched the Pillars and drained them of their magic. In Ponyville, Starlight, Trixie, and the Young Six were evacuating the School of Friendship students to the crystal catacombs underground. when Chrysalis arrived, seeking revenge on Starlight. After entrusting Trixie with the students’ safety, Starlight faced Chrysalis alone, teleporting herself and Chrysalis to the Arctic North for an epic battle. Starlight briefly gained the upper hoof and buried Chrysalis under an avalanche of snow. However, Chrysalis—empowered by Grogar’s Bell—overwhelmed Starlight and captured her. Back at Canterlot Castle, Cozy Glow arrived and attacked them with her newfound Alicorn might. She overpowered the royal guard and even drained Celestia and Luna of their magic with the Bewitching Bell. Twilight and her friends fought back and disoriented Cozy with unpredictable, non-magical attacks. Just as they overwhelmed and surrounded Cozy, Chrysalis and Tirek arrived to back her up, forcing Twilight to protect herself and her friends with a barrier. The villains gloated over their apparent victory, but Twilight was certain that they will be defeated as long as Equestria is united in friendship. The villains, however, laughed at Twilight’s sentiment, remarking on the efforts they made to turn the pony races against each other, and they completely obliterated a sizable portion of the castle. After shattering Twilight’s barrier, the villains prepared to finish her off, but Rarity distracted them by hurling a boulder at them. When the villains blasted the ponies with magic again, the ponies shielded themselves behind a piece of the broken castle wall. Twilight’s friends told her to escape while they held off the villains’ attack. Though Twilight refused to leave her friends behind, they believed she would come up with a plan to save the day. At her friends’ insistence, Twilight teleported away while the others were completely overwhelmed by Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy’s new powers.

With Twilight’s friends, the princesses, and the Pillars defeated, the villains imprisoned them in the catacombs under the castle, using the magic-canceling shards of Chrysalis’ old throne to keep them subdued. Cozy Glow sadistically wanted to kill them but Chrysalis argued they should torture them and show Equestria that they’ve broken its heroes, while Tirek insisted they should hunt down Twilight. While Chrysalis and Tirek would start torturing Discord, who they chained up instead, Cozy Glow tried to take Celestia and Luna’s magic with the Bell, leading to an argument with Chrysalis and Tirek. Tirek ended the debate by telling his fellow villains that they had to master Discord’s chaos magic first Discord pretended to offer to tell them how to use it in exchange for his friends’ safety. Tirek refused to trust Discord, and Discord was equally distrusting of Tirek after he betrayed him during their previous alliance, calling him a “muscle-bound cretin” for extra measure. The tricky Draconequus fed on Tirek’s anger by reminding him of his reason to steal magic from ponies: To compensate for the fact that he could never please his father. This caused the enraged centaur to snap, and blast at him with his magic. Discord reflected the blast off a crystal rock, and it struck Starlight Glimmer’s cage, freeing her. Starlight teleported around the chamber, evading the villains’ magic attacks, and released the other captured ponies from their cages. She, Princesses Celestia and Luna, the Pillars, and Discord kept the villains preoccupied while the rest of the Mane Six and Spike escaped to find Twilight.

Meanwhile, the villains’ previous machinations in turning the pony tribes against one another worked all too well; the Unicorns boarded themselves up inside the School for Gifted Unicorns, leaving the Earth Ponies and Pegasi to their own affairs. While in Ponyville, all the Earth ponies gathered together from other towns and were in a state of extreme panic and racial prejudice against the Pegasi and Unicorns. And up in Cloudsdale, the Pegasi closed up the city, not wanting any “grounded” ponies (Unicorns and Earth Ponies) up in their business. But the growing hate and distrust between the tribes drew in another enemy from ancient times — the Windigoes! The evil winter spirits returned, drawn to the animosity and disharmony between the ponies like flies to dead flesh. And from what the founders of Equestria remembered, the stronger the hate, the colder and deadlier the weather would be. It would not be long until everypony would be frozen alive, sealing their doom.

After the villains defeated Starlight, the princesses, the Pillars, and Discord and imprisioned them again, they saw the windigoes, and once again debated, this time on whether or not to eradicate the belligerent blizzard apparations; Chrysalis saw the harsh weather left behind by the windigoes as the final blow to break the ponies’ spirits, and once Equestria would be a frozen wasteland, the villains would use their enhanced magic to dispell them, resulting in the grateful ponies to be serve them, while Tirek found the windigoes too dangerous even for the villains to be left unchecked, and that they should be destroyed immediately. Just then, the Mane Six and Spike appeared in an open field outside Canterlot, and this time, Twilight Sparkle was with them again. After finding her at the Crystal Empire and with words of encouragement, the rest of the Mane Six and Spike placed their complete trust in the inspired Twilight and convinced her to fight in spite of the overwhelming odds. After Cozy Glow spotted the ponies and dragon, the villains traveled down to confront them. Twilight instructed Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Spike to retrieve the Bewitching Bell while she, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash distracted the villains. The final battle had begun!
Twilight, Pinkie, and Rainbow faced off against Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy and keep them occupied while the others tried to steal the Bell, but the villains quickly realized what they were up to and prevented any attempt to take it. Eventually, Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy ended the battle by capturing Spike and threatened serious harm to him; if the Mane Six did not surrender, wings would snap… HIS! The Mane Six immediately surrendered, and the villains prepared to finish them off. They blasted the ponies with powerful magic, but they were unexpectedly protected by a magic barrier. Just then, a giant army of ponies, dragons, griffons, changelings, yaks, hippogriffs, and multiple other creatures appeared over a hill to provide backup for the Mane Six. Among them were also friends and allies they made on their adventures. These included some of their old enemies; from reformed enemies, like Gilda, Garble, Chancellor Neighsay, and Tempest Shadow, to unrepentant foes who would rather protect their home than lose it, like the Flim Flam Brothers. As the ponies and creatures overwhelmed Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy with their numbers, the unicorns levitated the Mane Six to safety. Twilight was shocked to see ponies and creatures working together after everything the villains did to drive them apart. Then, the Young Six stepped out the crowd and explained that, as ponies and creatures panicked from the presence of the windigos and isolated themselves from the other races, they and their fellow students used everything they learned at the School of Friendship to bring the races together again and convinced them to fight alongside each other. It seems that opening the school was definitely a good thing after all.

Just as Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy fought through the Equestrian army’s forces, Twilight confronted them directly and delivered an impassioned speech about the Magic of Friendship and how, despite how much darkness there is in the world, there will always be those who seek out the light. Her passion brought her friends, the Pillars of Olde Equestria, and the Young Six to her side, and the power of their combined magic created a rainbow of light that banished the windigos and stripped the villains of their stolen strength. With the villains defeated, Discord claimed the Bewitching Bell and returned the magic of everyone who had theirs drained. As punishment for all their crimes against Equestria, Celestia and Luna stood before the defeated villains and, at Discord’s suggestion, imprisoned them in stone.

Discord - “Together forever. I can’t think of anything that they would want less!”

So now the last of Equestria’s enemies have been vanquished, Twilight had conquered her greatest adversity. Celestia and Luna recognized that she is officially ready to rule Equestria. The pony kingdom is truly blessed to have such a hero as their princess. No matter how much evil there is in the world, Twilight Sparkle and her friends will always be there to bring goodness, harmony, and friendship to it. So it looks like these villains will never win, but of course, they’ll never be able to move. They are now trapped in their stone prisons for a VERY long time.

The Villains Deluxe by me

Background by me

Oh how the mighty and evil have fallen. But even all bad things must come to an end. Making the vectors of these three powered up was almost as challenging as defeating them. I worked on Tirek’s 3rd form first, but it was him in a passive pose. I found a really great reference for “Princess” Cozy Glow, and making her vector was somewhat easy. Queen Chrysalis ultimate form was the hardest, especially with the gradient in her horn, her eyes, her armor, and her wings (which made me realize my error with the wings from her previous form, so I had to figure it out. Good thing I updated her old wings before uploading the other legion pics). Tirek’s pose wasn’t easy, but I think I found what I was looking for. If you think it looks more weird than menacing, let me know and I’ll see if I can improvise. Either way, I’m glad I finally got this done. And now there’s just one more baddie pic left, and it’ll be a really “good” one. :o (Eek) ;) (Wink)
