Based on: Sakura Fairy, thinking of cute trees getting their sweet revenge on humans, cats, and other losers
On the next day, Capper followed the Serenade Bird into the woods just next to the farm. This time, he avoided climbing trees, fearing another incident like when a tree monster threw him towards the roof. He ventured deeper into the shade of that forest which humans like Joe avoided, littered with what appeared to be broken axes and chainsaws.
As modern as the humans were, they avoided that forest out of fear of the strange creatures that lived there, no matter how fascinating they were. Whether it was huge “moon-eating” bats or walking jackpot machines and bicycles, those creatures waited for the day they would have their revenge on the humans for destroying their former habitat.
But all this was nothing to Capper, for he sought to catch the rare Serenade Bird no matter the cost. But amid the cool, bleak air pervading within those woods was a different smell, and a more fragrant one. It came from a lonely pink tree sitting among a crowd of bland dark greens: it blossomed with cherry flowers, where various little birds frolicked and drank from their nectar; its trunk was also covered with flowers that were arranged to appear like a dress from a foreign land that only the humans know; and the ground around it was littered with lits fallen blossoms.
His eyes gazed upon the little yellow-and-black bird squawking as it flies towards some of the flowers, chasing a flock of irate brown-eared bulbuls as it greedily sipped on doses of intoxicating cherry pollen. As Capper considered trying to climb up that tree, he noticed that some of the branches curled into a ball, until they became what appeared to be the head of a human female. She dragged two of her outstretched branches and reached towards the poor cat, who ran with the startled birds.
But he was not as fast as them, for within a quick swoop he was trapped within a net of twigs decorated with those nauseating flowers.
“Eeeeeee!” the tree-woman squealed. “I’ve always wanted a kitty since I was a sapling! Lemme hug you, and cuddle you, and play dress-up and BIRTHDAY PARTIES AND CAKES AND CUPCAKES EVERY DAY together, YAY!”
Capper scratched her branches and twigs with all of his might, but to no avail – they kept growing and growing until he was trapped in a fragrant wooden cage.
“Help me, anyone!” the cat screamed, frightened the prospect of being taken by a strange giantess like her. “I don’t want to be thrown again or used as some roadkill, HELP!”
“Don’t you worry, kitty!” the tree grinned. “You’re so much better than all those dead plushies, you’ll always be my best friend and my teddy-cat, for-eeeee-VERRRR! And I’m sure I’ll take good care of you, you cute little kitty!” Her branches trapped him even further, intensifying his panic.
The entire forbidden woods was then disturbed by the piercing sound of his horrified yowls. Meanwhile, that green-leafed tree crowned with yellow flowers that threw him earlier rolled in laughter as she watched her former tormentor scream like the girl the Pinkietree wanted him to become.
