When Applejack signs up to be a lifeguard at the beach for a few weeks during the summer, she thinks it’ll just be a relaxing way to hang out and exercise her skills. What she doesn’t know is that she is being targeted by a very rich, technology-inclined classmate of hers who wants to use Applejack and her magical super-strength as free labor on her family’s yacht for the entirety of summer break. After inventing a special electric bracelet that mind controls whoever is wearing it (don’t ask, it gets technical), she sneaks into Applejack’s lifeguard tower and plants it on the desk along with a walkie-talkie and hidden camera in order to keep tabs on her. When Applejack arrives at the tower, she is surprised to see the bracelet on her desk. Picking it up, the teenage farmer decides that a ‘little bling’ wouldn’t hurt while she’s waiting around for an emergency and puts it on her wrist. Watching the hidden camera footage in her cabin on the yacht, the rich girl activates the bracelet once it’s locked onto Applejack’s wrist, causing Applejack to suddenly be struck with a rather painful headache. In a matter of seconds, despite the headache dissipating, Applejack loses all of her individuality and free will and turns into an obedient, red-eyed robot-girl. Speaking through the walkie-talkie, the rich girl orders Applejack to come down to her yacht at the pier and await further instructions. The mind-controlled lifeguard complies, exits the tower, and begins walking towards the pier. As she walks, her arms float in front of her like a sleepwalker as she begins to chant the phrase ‘Must Obey’ in a monotone voice.
 
Meanwhile, on the other side of the beach, Timber Spruce is lounging outside his tower when he sees Applejack walking by talking to herself and wearing an unfamiliar bracelet. He calls out to her, but doesn’t know about his friend’s recent enslavement and the noise from the other beach-goers makes it hard for him to hear Applejack’s mantra. Timber just looks on dumbfounded as his friend walks right past him, unaware of the fate that awaits her down the road….
