Description

One of my rarepairs, Sunburst x Party Favor.

Despite being quite an uncomfortable stallion, Sunburst finds it very difficult to be comfortable around Party Favor. He can’t figure out why he feels even more out of place and awkward around just that one pony. It isn’t until he’s thrown a birthday party by Party Favor (hired by Starlight) that he realizes he has a crush.

Party Favor doesn’t really notice Sunburst at first. He did throw that birthday party, but they haven’t actually spoken face to face. Since parties are kind of his job, it wasn’t really anything intimate.

Sunburst goes out for a walk every day, but his usual route starts to morph and change as each day passes. He bumps into Party Favor more and more-definitely not intentionally, he swears!- and his nose gets buried even deeper in his books every time they pass by each other on the street, because he’s way too nervous to actually look up and lock eyes.

Party Favor doesn’t really notice all that much, actually. It isn’t until he’s dragged along to an exotic dance club by his friends that he actually takes notice of Sunburst.

On stage, orange tail swishing and swaying, twirling around a pole, Sunburst is beautiful.

After that night, Party Favor actually starts to notice each time he sees that messy orange mane on the streets, and he would be lying if he said he didn’t sometimes stop to stare as the stallion walked away.

Sunburst, nose always deep in a book, never actually realizes that Party Favor has started to notice him. He also didn’t see Party at the club, so he has no idea that his little night time job has been unveiled to the party pony.
