Guest Author’s Note: “There’s a lot of different joys to be found in Roleplaying Games. Some people like the interesting moments and fiction that arise from a shared piece of storytelling. Some like the mechanical complexities and variance, the same joy as building or watching a complex piece of machinery working. Some like the power fantasy, or the escapism, being something else for a little while. Some like the intrigue and drama, exploring situations whose consequences would be far more painful in real life, but are tolerable in the theatre of the mind.

And some people just enjoy spending time with loved ones, be they friends or something more.

(NOTE: This is RT and AJ, not Rarity and Applejack from the main comic. Their relationship is not emblematic of the relationship between Rarity and Applejack in the canon. But gosh-darnit, if I’m writing a fan-work of a fan-work, I’m allowed one terrible moment to be myself.
