I’ll have to visit Utah sometime then. But it’s hard to come up with a reason to when I don’t know anybody there and the pony convention in Salt Lake City isn’t around anymore.

I don’t recommend it (and I say this as a lifelong Utah resident.) Everyone else says they love living here, but most everyone else is either married, has kids, is outdoorsy and/or is Mormon. If you are none of those, then Utah is probably not for you.

Salt Lake City is fine for the most part compared to the rest of the state (especially Provo, near where I live), but there are more fun cities in the intermountain west to visit (i.e.: Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix, etc.)

I just want to visit. I don’t intend to live there.

I’m outdoorsy and I don’t care much for large cities, but I don’t check any of the other boxes. My sights are set more on Idaho and Montana.

Ah…well, if you’re just visiting, then you’ll be fine…at least for a while.

If you fancy national parks, we have 5 of them in the southern half of the state. We have 2 of them near Moab alone, and one near St. George (which is about 2 hours from Vegas.)

Rahway State Prison had to be re-named East Jersey State Prison because the prison is actually in Avenel, not Rahway, and the people of Rahway were tired of how the prison was bringing down their town’s reputation. Despite the name being changed 36 years ago everyone still calls it Rahway State Prison.

Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is not in Bozeman, it’s nowhere near Yellowstone, and does not actually offer any international flights, yet it still calls itself ‘Bozeman Yellowstone International.’
