When Giant Ponies and Creatures Attack - Season 2 Episode 8 - Chasing After Moon Dancer - Part 1
Summary: Part 1: Moon Dancer once again turns evil and becomes a giant, causing havoc across Miami. Twilight and her old friends, Minuette, Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts, chase after the unstoppable unicorn and battle her all day long.
Two days after the fight with Autumn Blaze in Shanghai, Twilight Sparkle has let her friends and Rain Shine return to their own world while she stays in the real world and save the people as much as possible. Autumn Blaze has since been taken to a hospital afterwards and is currently recovering.
Now, it is morning in Miami, and Twilight Sparkle is sitting down at a table outside a restaurant, drinking some tea on her own as a way to celebrate herself victory for defeating Autumn Blaze with the help of her friends a few days back.
“Things seem like a very sunny day out in Miami.” Twilight Sparkle said as she placed down her tea on the table and relax, chilling. “I haven’t been in Miami since five or six months ago.”
Twilight Sparkle looks around and see that everyone is doing random stuff, like visiting a beach elsewhere, enjoying the tropical weather. Twilight Sparkle was so lucky that she got some shades, which were colored orange.
“I do gotta find something else important after this, like probably doing some workout, maybe visit the beach, or, um… something like that…” Twilight Sparkle tells herself as she really wants to try a much more entertaining activity after she gets finished drinking her tea.
“Hey, Twilight! How’s it going?” A voice called out for Twilight’s name.
Twilight Sparkle turns around and sees that it is Cheerilee, who is wearing sunglasses during this day. She greets and waves at her with happiness.
“Cheerilee, I’m so happy to see you here!” Twilight Sparkle hugs Cheerilee, missing her for a long time. She is so excited that Cheerilee would meet her for a short time. It turns out that Cheerilee is doing something fun on her own. “Long time, no see. What brings you here anyway?” She asks Cheerilee.
“Well, I was planning on visiting the beach, and while I was walking my way through the sidewalks, I saw you at the table drinking tea and I just thought I would drop by and say ‘hello’ before moving on forward!” Cheerilee responds with a wide happy grin on her face.
“I am so happy to hear you taking a trip to the beach.” Twilight Sparkle was proud of what Cheerilee planned on doing.
“Would you wanna come with me when you get done drinking?” Cheerilee asked.
However, Twilight Sparkle declined the offer, responding, “Nah, I’ll pass. I have other things to do. Thanks for asking me, though. So nice seeing you. Have fun at the beach! Bye! See you later, Miss Cheerilee!”
“You too, my dear friend!” Cheerilee waves goodbye back Twilight Sparkle, heading straight for the beach.
Twilight resumes drinking her tea and then finishes it up seconds afterwards. Twenty minutes later, she has been resting, her head on the table and snoring quite silently despite residents around watching her, although they kept on going, sticking with what they have to do, not the Princess of Friendship herself.
However, as the alicorn continued resting, someone shouted her name. She then woke up and she realized it was her old friends, Minuette, Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts. They are running and panicking from something or someone that is occurring in Miami.
“TWILIGHT, TWILIGHT!!!” Twinkleshine screams as she begs Twilight Sparkle to help her and the other two with a problem they have on their hooves. “It’s an emergency! Come quick!”
“Okay, okay, just calm down and stop getting all stressed out, Twinkleshine.” Twilight Sparkle comforts her friend as she needs Twinkleshine, Minuette and Lemon Hearts not to be all hyped up. “What’s the problem Minuette, Lemon Hearts and you are having right now?”
“Me and my friends have been running away from Moon Dancer, who’s been placed under a dark spell and working for those two alicorns again!” Lemon Hearts explained the situation.
Twilight Sparkle reacts in shock over what her old friends just mentioned her, figuring that it is one of Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon’s tricks again and they have turned Moon Dancer evil again.
“You mean you saw Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon showing up in Miami and they targeted Moon Dancer while she was with you three, is that correct?” Twilight Sparkle asks.
“Yes, it was that! We tried to catch up with the corrupted alicorns, but then Moon Dancer stood in the way and we saw her eyes being red and we fought her, although we weren’t any match for her.” Minuette replied.
Lemon Hearts adds things further to Minuette’s statement, claiming, “Worse, Moon Dancer used a growth spell on herself and make herself gigantic and then we all started running for our lives! She tried to kill us with her magic in the process, too! But luckily we survived by hiding in some buildings where she didn’t see us at all…”
“I’m so tired of Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker turning my friends into villains…! Those damn alicorns will pay with their lives when I find them!” Twilight Sparkle banged her hoof on the table in anger, promising she will get revenge on the two corrupted alicorns for what they’ve done to all her friends, up until this point.
Even though Twilight Sparkle was frustrated, Twinkleshine, Lemon Hearts and Minuette are also angry that Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon have placed Moon Dancer under their control.
Just then, the four ponies heard the ground shaking and see people running. Suddenly, a large shadow looms over them all, covering them in the dark.
“Oh, damn! It’s her! It’s Moon Dancer!” Lemon Hearts pointed her hoof at the giant-sized Moon Dancer, now on the dark side and a villain as well. “She’s gonna kill us all, get running, get running now!”
“I still need to destroy you three for escaping my wrath earlier. This time, you all will die immediately without running from me!” Moon Dancer fired a magic blast at Twilight Sparkle and her three old friends, but Twilight Sparkle puts a barrier around her and her friends, causing Moon Dancer’s magic attack to bounce a different direction.
“Stop this right now, Moon Dancer!” Twilight Sparkle yelled at Moon Dancer, demanding her to stop targeting Minuette, Lemon Hearts and Twinkleshine. “Leave these three alone!”
Moon Dancer laughed at Twilight’s warnings and respond in a rude tone while laughing, saying, “Shut the hell up and move your ass, Twilight! Before I do it the hard way!”
“I think you’ll find that not so easy at all, Moon Dancer.” Twilight Sparkle argued, defending herself against the words coming from Dark Moon Dancer. “I can’t let you harm Minuette, Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts, and you won’t be harming me either. Let them go, please.”
“I said get moving, weakling!” Moon Dancer fired another magic beam at Twilight Sparkle, this time it went through the barrier and made all four ponies bounce and hit the ground.
Twinkleshine stood up and told Minuette and Lemon Hearts, “Girls, we got no choice except to fight her. There’s nothing else we can do. She’s the villain right now and shutting her up won’t do any good. We must work together with Twilight!”
“Right!” Lemon Hearts and Minuette reply in an agreement.
Twilight Sparkle, Twinkleshine, Lemon Hearts and Minuette all prepare themselves for a fight with the giant-sized Moon Dancer, who is attacking Miami. Everyone is really placing their hopes on Twilight Sparkle and her old friends, and save everything and everyone in Miami.
“Everypony, stay behind me! Moon Dancer is getting out of control and right now, she’s much more dangerous since the last time I had to fight her.” Twilight Sparkle warned her friends that Moon Dancer has gained even more darkness now compared to the last one.
“We heard you.” Lemon Hearts, Minuette and Twinkleshine all speak in unison, promising they will behind Twilight at all costs.
As the battle begins, Moon Dancer and Twilight clash with each other as their magic result in a struggle. Twilight tries to push her enemy’s magic beam back some, but Moon Dancer is trying to send it right at her and knock her out so easily.
“I could use some help if you would please.” Twilight ordered her old friends to assist her.
Minuette, Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts all give Twilight Sparkle a helping hoof and they fire their magic at Moon Dancer as well.
With the three unicorns giving Twilight some better chances at gaining a victory right here, right now. Twilight and her three unicorn friends’ magic all combined together began pushing Moon Dancer’s magic back much closer towards her.
Feeling herself almost defeated, Moon Dancer quickly increased her powers as twice as possible, pushing every other ponies’ magic away from her own.
“Did she just increase her power?” Twinkleshine asks Minuette, upon seeing themselves getting pushed back some.
“I feel like she actually did increase her magic, and it seems like it’s doubled up!” Minuette senses a power boost inside Moon Dancer. “Still, we can’t just get beaten and be underestimated that easily. I’m not letting a damn thing stopping us from losing… Not one thing will prevent us from being the losers!”
“Talk all you want, you won’t live long.” Dark Moon Dancer warned the four ponies that every time they are speaking, it waste more time on the magic beam struggle.
Twilight, Minuette, Lemon Hearts and Twinkleshine all have increased magic powers times five, resulting in a total of twenty. They push their magic towards Moon Dancer yet again.
People all over Miami are trying to avoid dying from the fight between the four regular size ponies and Giant Dark Moon Dancer. However, buildings have still been caught on fire as the battle continues on in the process.
“If this keeps up, everything will be destroyed…!” Twilight Sparkle realized that there’s people around the city and they can feel the entire place shaking from all the fight between her alongside her old friends against one mean unicorn, which is Moon Dancer. “Girls, you gotta push harder! This battle has been shaking Miami a lot right now, so let’s finish this!”
“Not if I got something to say about it.” Moon Dancer interrupted the ponies from trying to achieve victory so early.
Minuette, Twilight Sparkle, Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts react in shock as they witness Moon Dancer getting stronger and stronger each and every second and she has increased magic times twenty, which would prove too dangerous for the heroines to handle.
As a confident Moon Dancer pushed her magic way faster towards the other ponies, it knocked them off their hooves and they fell to the ground, looking dizzy.
Though Lemon Hearts, Twinkleshine and Minuette are stunned a bit, Twilight Sparkle easily recovered and she charged at Moon Dancer, hoping she can give her a kick and punch. However, Moon Dancer caught her using her magic, stopping the alicorn from attacking her anywhere.
“Really? Did you actually think you could fool me that easy?” Dark Moon Dancer asks Twilight Sparkle, laughing at the latter for such trickery that would not work on her. “I can read what’s on your mind, and I won’t be falling for such simple tricks.”
Moon Dancer throws Twilight Sparkle into a building, causing the latter to hurt her back.
Twilight still manages to get herself back up by flapping her wings before she could hit the ground. She was breathing hard, but she knew that she must not give up just yet.
“You okay, Twilight? You’re not hurt, are you?” Lemon Hearts checks in on Twilight Sparkle, making sure she’s not severely injured. She takes a look at Twilight’s wings and finds them in good shape still.
“I’m fine, Lemon Hearts. It’s only my back that is in some pain, but I can’t let Moon Dancer get what she wants.” Twilight Sparkle said, refusing to give up and rest her body.
“But you’ll pass out if you keep on fighting her with your back hurt. Leave the fight to the three of us. We’ll take care of her!” Minuette suggested that Twilight lays down so she can keep herself safe from death.
“She’s right. This fight will be taken over by us now. Thanks.” Twinkleshine agrees with Minuette and they, along with Lemon Hearts, pay their attention towards Moon Dancer, who’s still ready to put them in their place.
Now worried about her old friends, Twilight feared that Moon Dancer will finish off the other three ponies before dealing with Twilight alone.
“Do you three really wanna go first?” Moon Dancer questions the three smaller unicorns over the decision they made. Either way, she decided to accept it anyway, knowing Minuette, Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts all want to accept defeat first.
“This girl just keeps on bitching, and doesn’t even shut the hell up on top of that.” Lemon Hearts told Twinkleshine and Minuette, seeing that Moon Dancer will not stop talking.
“I can’t stand Moon Dancer when she’s acting like a villain.” Twinkleshine is angry that Moon Dancer is on the dark side now, and she doesn’t know how she, Lemon Hearts and Minuette can redeem their well-known friend without Twilight, but she must figure out first through a fight on the battlefield.
Minuette, Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts all stand in one place, deciding they should end things. They fire their magic at Moon Dancer, but the giant evil unicorn defended herself with a barrier, deflecting all attacks they have made.
Shocked, Lemon Hearts was the first to try and attack Moon Dancer as she was going to kick the giant unicorn right in the leg. Unfortunately, Moon Dancer placed a sleeping spell on her.
Twinkleshine and Minuette witness Moon Dancer putting Lemon Hearts into an unconscious sleep through spell. Moon Dancer glares at them with a smug smirk on her face, angering the two. Both look at each other, wondering who should go next and who should go last.
“I’ll go after you, Twinkleshine!” Minuette volunteers herself as the last pony to go up.
“Okay, so we have an agreement. I will teach Moon Dancer a lesson for what she’s done to Lemon Hearts!” Twinkleshine approaches and runs towards Moon Dancer with an angry look on her face.
As Twinkleshine takes the stand against the giant evil unicorn, her cutie mark starts to glow. She prepares a special technique called the ‘Twinkle Star Destruction Light’.
“I have a special move that will finish you for good!” Twinkleshine told Moon Dancer, giving everything she had and put into her most strongest one yet. “I won’t lose and nopony’s admitting defeat except you!”
Twinkleshine levitates three stars that matches the color of her cutie mark and throws them straight towards Moon Dancer, and one star exploded at a time.
Despite Twinkleshine believing her special technique was successful, she was actually wrong when she heard a sinister laugh coming from Moon Dancer, who clearly survived the special attack.
“Was that the best you could do?” Moon Dancer asked Twinkleshine, finding the latter’s special move ridiculously pathetic. “If so, I’m not anywhere near impressed at all, though I still congratulate and praise you for showing up some effort. I was surprised a little bit before I eventually had myself not surprised in the end when your special attack did nothing!”
“But that can’t be possible… I just gave it my all…! This isn’t fair…!” Twinkleshine said, as she knew did everything she could to stop Moon Dancer.
“You’ll be the next to meet your end, so give up already.” Moon Dancer fires another sleeping spell, aiming at Twinkleshine, who couldn’t dodge it in time and she was forced to sleep for some hours.
Minuette already knows she is in trouble, and she feels unsure what she should do next, and she backs away from the giant evil unicorn slowly.
However, before Minuette could even warn Twilight Sparkle and call out for her name, Moon Dancer fired a magic beam at her from behind, hitting her in the back and then she fell to the ground, being the next pony to sleep in an unconscious manner.
Twilight Sparkle snapped back into reality and she saw all her friends meeting their end before her. She snarls at her enemy with rage. Moon Dancer snarls back at her.
“I’m definitely not letting you get away with this. What you’ve done has gone too far, and I’m not allowing this to slip any further!” Twilight Sparkle shouted and fly towards the Moon Dancer, vowing for revenge.
“I don’t think so.” Moon Dancer prevented the alicorn again from trying to attack her.
Finally, Moon Dancer gives Twilight an uppercut straight to the stomach. As Twilight felt herself completely damaged from one fatal attack, her mouth went silent as she fell to the ground, unconscious.
Moon Dancer was satisfied to see herself winning and that it wasn’t a problem after all. She shrinks herself back to normal size and walk up to the knocked out ponies, still panting heavily on the ground, breathing for air.
“Might as well destroy some stuff before I leave and target another city!” Moon Dancer said to herself as she began firing multiple magic beams at several buildings across different directions. She even blew up vehicles, objects and more!
Even more satisfied with her work of destruction, Moon Dancer takes a look back at the fleeing citizens, who all fear her as her dark red eyes mean they should be afraid of her. One evil nerd pony like her was definitely a nightmare to everyone in Miami today. She creates a portal and walk into it, searching for another city in the United States that she can destroy.
With Twilight, Twinkleshine, Lemon Hearts and Minuette still left on the ground unconscious, they pant heavily, breathing for air, and this has been going for hours.
Several hours later, it was 10:38 at night in Miami, and Twilight and her friends have woken up from their unconscious sleep.
“Everypony okay?” Twilight Sparkle asked her friends as they got up on four hooves again.
“Yes, I think so…” Minuette said, looking kinda exhausted from all the fight she and the others had from earlier in the morning with Moon Dancer.
“I just realized Moon Dancer knocked us all out and we’ve been sleeping for almost twelve hours, from morning until nighttime. That was totally embarrassing!” Lemon Hearts wipes off the scratches from Twilight’s front hooves.
And speaking of Lemon Hearts mentioning Moon Dancer’s name, Twinkleshine asks Twilight Sparkle as she walks up to her, “Where did Moon Dancer go?”
“I don’t know. We all have been put into an unconscious rest and there’s no telling where she is at this time. I can’t keep track with where she’s been going next.” Twilight Sparkle answered, explaining that she can’t locate Moon Dancer’s whereabouts.
With Twilight Sparkle unable to reveal where Moon Dancer is, Minuette, Lemon Hearts and Twinkleshine are shocked at this. But can the heroines win the second round, or will they have another defeat on their hooves?
