There shouldn’t be too much to talk about Summer Breeze’s design. He has Fluttershy’s coat color, Mac’s eye color, and a slightly lighter orange mane than Mac’s. When I sketched him out he was originally going to pull some colors from Grand Pear, but I realized when I went to finalize the design I had come a little to close to Pound Cake’s color palette for my liking so I scrapped it. The only thing left of that design is that little tuft tail he has. Otherwise his mane is just a spin on Big Mac’s with hopefully enough changed to not be a carbon copy of it. I wanted to give him a name more in line with Fluttershy’s family to break the Apple and miscellaneous names. Fluttershy and Zephyr breeze didn’t give me much to go on, but the flying/wind synonyms was enough to come up with Summer Breeze.
Crabapple Cider just got that name because crabapple is a lesser used oc name and adding cider to the end of it helped personalize it a little more, plus cider being a historic use for crabapples. Her coat color is her dad’s mane color, her mane color is a lighter almost orange pink from her mom’s mane, her mane style is another shaggier take on Fluttershy’s mane style, and her eye color is also from Big Mac except with a little less yellow and a little more blue. I moved a freckle around from the usual three-next-to–the-eye pattern to make her appearance just a little more interesting. I don’t know why she’s sticking her tongue out, I thought it’d be cute. Maybe she’s just feeling… crabby.
