Since I love the “everypony is important” idea, here is a short head canon thing:
 
Even though Lipstick Vanity is not very interested in sports, she also doesn’t like to be seen only as a one trick pony. Just because she happens to like to apply lipstick and wants to look attractive doesn’t mean you should count her out for anything important.  
She got her cutiemark after figuring out how to extract the oils out of cotton seeds with magic and then started her own small fully organic cosmetics company where in she uses some of the oils in her products. Her lipstick to name one of those. Thus - she knows a thing or two about chemistry and extracting. She also sells some of the excess to other ponies to use for other products like soap and cooking oil.  
Yes - that is legit what cotton seed oil can be used for. Woooooooooooah.
 
Kind of derpy eyed because slightly messed up the angle of her head there.  
To my defense, it is really hard to draw all of those eye related details by using the method I evolved over time for anything other than the “fully open eyes”. It is tricky getting the right angles, size and spacing of all those details to match up and looking right. Then there is also.. me drawing ofcourse xD
 
Pose is sort of a hybrid between two different references that I combined into making this.
 
Give me a few more months and more flaws should be ironed out..
