Friendship is Magic recently turned 8 while My Little Pony as a franchise turned 35. This calls for a celebration! Twilight has a small little cake for herself but she got some surprise visitors who brought in a bigger cake for them all to share.
 
I was kind of in a rush making this since I did it at the last minute so I’m not too satisfied with how some bits and pieces came out. But overall, I’m proud with the final product. When making this I wanted to use a pony from each generation as well as a pony of each of the four main races.
 
Choosing the characters was rather difficult at first, especially since G2 has mostly Earth Ponies (I would have loved to have used Toola Roola or Minty for G3 but I guess I can always include either of them next year). Ultimately I picked Eve for the Earth Pony, mostly because I really loved her design and she didn’t seem to get too much fanart. Then I picked Fizzy for the Unicorn (I was tempted to pick Gutsy but I figured since Eve has a mostly white color, adding another white pony would have been a bit too redundant and I wanted some variation with the colors). Thistle Whistle was my choice for a Pegasus (though I did consider Windy Whistles or Firefly). And I picked Twilight of course for the Alicorn spot since she’s more or less the main character of Friendship is Magic (plus I really like her and never drew her before).
